| Well, it's been a couple of days and we've all returned from Columbus, OH where we appeared at the Mid-Ohio Comic Con on Oct. 3rd and 4th to promote Suburban Heroes to a whole new audience. A great time was had by all and we've put some pictures up from the weekend so check those out. Thanks to everyone who stopped at our booth to talk to us and the few extra-cool folks who bought stuff from us! While there, Mike and I (mostly Mike) did a brief interview with www.comicrelated.com Everybody with an interest in comic should definetly check out that site. It's filled with info, news and podcasts about everything comic related. Plus our interview should be in the podcast section soon. I'll post a link to that once it's up. Mike and I also visited with Fred Hembeck (famous comic artist, worked for Marvel in '80s, recently released the 912 page book The Fred Hembeck Omnibus featuring all of his independent work though he's most famous for Fred Hembeck Destroys the Marvel Universe) and had him draw sketchs of Capt. Pain and Billy! Those can also be seen in our Convention Pics section, so be sure to check those out. On the return trip home from the con, Mike and Andy recorded a new Detroit Mic'D podcast where they talk about the con, compare it to Motor City Comic Con and discuss the benefits and drawbacks of promoting your indie film at such an event. You can find that in the Mic'D section on www.madebydetroit.com As of right now, it appears our next con will be on Nov. 8th at the Fantasticon in Mt. Clemens, MI so mark that one on your calenders and come on out! They're only website is here on myspace so look it up for more info. Admission is only $5 though! Until next time, Terence |
