Wedding Videos!?

Two of us here at Runn AMC are looking to start offering another service in addition to regular short film and commercial work and our MadeByDetroit Podcasting Network. We're looking at getting into videography. Yes, videography. That realm of the filmmaking world most look down on as the filmmaking equivalent of working fast food. Dull, unfulfilling, simple work you do just to pay the bills. That's a general perception that we'd like to change. We've got some ideas on how to sort of shake up videography, particularly wedding videography and photography. I won't describe the details of what we want to do because, quite frankly, we think we've got some good ideas and if we explain them here then anyone can just start implementing them and we'll miss our own train. However, I can personally say I've never seen any wedding videos done like we have in mind. First though we need some couples who are planning to get married and are interested in a unique and hopefully refreshing wedding video to show off after the big day. Yes, I realize most folks don't "show off" their wedding video. They just watch it once or twice with family and friends that couldn't attend and then it sits on the back of a shelf until the end of time or divorce depending on the couple. That's one of those things we'd like to change. Anyways, as I was saying we're looking for 2 or 3 couples who are getting married and are interested in having us do a unique video for them. Since we're just getting started, we're offering to do it for $100. That's a complete deal, from the day we meet you to the day we hand over the final video, everything, for only $100. And I know I said we're looking to get started but we've got experience under our belts already. I've done a couple of wedding videos for friends and family already so I know what the basic deal is and what most folks are settling for. But as I've said, we've got something new.
